God is an expert at finding new challenges to bring glory to His name. If we allow him, he will make us into the most beautiful vessel that is like no other.
The most priceless pieces of art are so original that there can be no copy. Any copy is still missing the authenticity that comes with the original. A secret recipe is made so well that it cannot be repeated.
Some of these touches to us may seem insignificant or unnecessary. I know how quick I can be to complain to the Master about some of what He is doing in my life.
He just wants me to trust him. His hand is smooth and firm. He does not do anything vainly, rather the marks and pressure of his hands and arms are full of love and passion.
How foolish it is to cause him sorrow, to diminish the value of His work. When I rest in his hands, I see miracles at work. When I fuss and flutter, stress and worry, or run to and fro trying to make things work that are seeming to fail, it is unnecessary stress that I am causing myself. It can make me sick or depressed.
But to just trust him is the very best I can do. If I will just rest my heart in his care, He will take care to see it is not damaged.
When I want to serve him, it is enough to have this desire and willingness. This willingness alone pleases him. I fret and worry b/c I want to do better. I look for answers that I often cannot find.
I am not alone. He has a divine purpose. If I stopped believing that, I would cease to have meaning and would feel that I had died.
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
